Setting up a Minecraft server

This article applies to our dedicated server customers on the SliverFish, Spider, Creeper, Pig Zombie, Blaze and Ghast packages.

 

First you will need to login to the Multicraft panel using the IP or domain, username and password supplied in the welcome email.

1. Once logged in, go to users > view your user > update the password and make sure the email address is correct.

2. Then navigate to 'servers' and click create server.

3. You will now be presented with a form.

a) 'Name' Enter the desired server name for the account

b) 'players' Input the maximum number of players that are allowed to connect to the server. The recommended amount for each package are as follows:

-Sliverfish 15

-Spider 35

-Creeper 70

-Blaze 115

-Pig Zombie 150

-Ghast 400

We recommend you use the suggested amounts then see if it can be increased in your enviroment later. You can also easily upgrade your base package at any time.

c) 'assign to user' Select your username from this drop down box

d) 'IP' Leave this empty

e) 'Port' Leave this empty

f) 'JAR file selection' Select the mod plugin API you want to use.

g) 'Memory' Input the memory allocation that goes to Minecraft. The amount for each package are as follows:

-Sliverfish 512

-Spider 1024

-Creeper 2048

-Blaze 3072

-Pig Zombie 4096

-Ghast 8192

h) The rest of the fields can be left blank at the default values

4. click create

5. start the server up
